We are excited to announce that CVM will be providing structural engineering for a new performing arts center at Central High School of Philadelphia.
An academically-rigorous magnet school located in the Logan neighborhood, Central was founded in 1836 and is one of the oldest continually-operating high schools in America. The two-story center, part of a larger capital improvement campaign, was designed by MGA Partners Architects and will feature a 400-seat performance hall as well as state-of-the-art music technology labs. The project was officially announced at a press conference last month, and is expected to begin construction in January 2019, with completion forecasted in 2020.
