CVM Supports Engineering Education Through Future City Competition

CVM was again a sponsor at the Philadelphia edition of the Future City Competition, held this year on January 19 at Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor, PA. The competition introduces students in grades six through eight to engineering concepts through the design and construction of a model city. The winning team, from Downingtown Middle School, will now move on to the National Competition in Washington, DC in February.

As sponsor, CVM lent its name to a special award, “Preserving Our Past – Envisioning Our Future,” which this year was captured by Cinnaminson Middle School in New Jersey. Also, CVM Senior Project Manager Kevin Coll, PE served as a judge in the competition.

We are proud to have supported this endeavor and to encourage area students to explore a future in engineering. We look forward to next year’s competition!
