Love Statue Relocated

CVM made a contribution today toward a monumental change in Philadelphia, assisting Materials Conservation, George Young Company  and the City of Philadelphia Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy in temporarily relocating Robert Indiana’s iconic Love Statue from JFK Plaza to the adjacent Dilworth Park. The statue will stand in its new location while JFK Plaza is being renovated, and city officials sought out CVM because of our experience as the structural engineer during 2014’s renovation of Dilworth Park.

CVM worked with conservators to ensure that the statue was transported securely, and evaluated the integrity of the support system. We were pleased to be able to lend our abilities to the preservation of an important city landmark, and we are looking forward to the new and improved JFK Plaza.
