Keith Kesner To Host ACI Webinars

CVM’s Keith Kesner, PhD, PE, SE, FACI will present a webinar for the American Concrete Institute (ACI) on the newest version of the ACI 562 Code for the repair of existing concrete structures. The presentation will take place from 1-2 PM on July 12, and access is available for individuals and groups. Topics will include a summary of the repair code and key changes found in this update.

As an active member of ACI and a widely recognized expert on the subject, Dr. Kesner was an early advocate for the creation of ACI 562. This new standard for concrete repair was developed in response to a need for a repair-specific code (in contrast to new construction codes) to improve the performance and sustainability of repaired concrete structures. He has since worked extensively on the development of the code, first as secretary, and now as committee chair. The webinar is the first in a series, with the next installments taking place on September 27, 28, and 29.

Keith has also co-written a series of journal articles on ACI 562 for Concrete International Magazine, that delve more deeply into the detail and derivation of these new standards. In addition, he has previously presented on the subject, hosting a webinar in July of 2015 and presenting at the World of Concrete meeting in Las Vegas this past February.
