Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Historic Landmark Building

This late 19th century structure, designed by noted architect Frank Furness, is a Philadelphia cultural landmark. As part of an ongoing building envelope and facade restoration program, CVM diagnosed envelope regions affected most by air and moisture infiltration to identify specific envelope components that required short-term intervention. Transient Heat and Moisture Transport Analysis and infrared thermography informed our broader analysis to design protective measures that could withstand humidification of the art galleries.
