Michener Art Museum, Edgar N. Putman Event Pavilion

An elegant glass-and-steel structure that cleverly asserts itself within the facility’s sculpture garden, emphasizing the surrounding massive fieldstone walls that are the remnants of the Bucks County Prison that originally stood on the site. Working with the architects to achieve a visually minimalist structural design, we suggested the use of thin steel plate columns which were inspired by the works in steel of sculptor Richard Serra.
