15th and Walnut, Sister Cities Among Best of Nutter Era

Philadelphia Inquirer architecture critic Inga Saffron recently recapped the major construction projects completed in Philadelphia under former mayor Michael Nutter, and we are pleased to note that two projects for which CVM provided structural engineering consulting services were listed among the best of that time: The 15th and Walnut Street Building and Sister Cities Pavilion and Children’s Discovery Garden.

Mayor Nutter was widely regarded as a strong supporter of design in the city, having been honored by AIA Philadelphia in 2012 with the Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Award for Leadership in Urban Design. His tenure is also associated with an improvement in the quality of life in Philadelphia, as well as an increase in the city’s national standing. CVM is happy to have been associated with Mayor Nutter’s time in office in any way, and we look forward to being involved in any future projects within Philadelphia.
