Housed in a former Masonic Temple constructed in 1908 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the National Museum of Women in the Arts is located in downtown Washington, DC, just east of the White House. Serving as building envelope and historic preservation consultant to a team developing a facilities preservation plan, CVM performed a window study, documenting each window’s condition and performance and creating a daylight model to illustrate the impact of the sun on the facade. Recommendations were ultimately made based on long-term service life predictions.
